LED street lights
LED street lights
From the application point of view, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes - light emitting diodes) are widely used when the lighting system must have certain characteristics of the installation, maintenance and operation.
Being free of IR and UV components the light emitted is clean and saturated colors. The durability and robustness are very high: the high emission LEDs reach around 50,000 hours, regardless of the number of on / off times.
The operation, at very low voltage, is safe and has low maintenance costs, because it is stable at varying humidity and temperature (cold start up to -40 ° without problems) and has a high resistance to vibrations.
LEDs are often used as sensors in the tracking systems of solar trackers, or in similar technologies, because they are reversible. If the junction is exposed directly to the sun's rays, or to a strong enough light source, in fact, at the terminals a voltage appears, depending on the intensity of the radiation and the color of the LED.
LED Lamp
The solid state LED street lighting lamp has been specifically designed for use in applications with high luminous efficiency and high energy savings.
They are protected from dust and water and are not subject to condensation. In case of high ambient temperature, breakage of a part of the LED strings or high power dissipated on them, the control electronics will limit the junction temperature of the LED.
Adopting this type of lamp allows significant energy savings because LED bulbs consume 60% less energy. It is possible to obtain further energy saving of the lamp, by activating the DIMMER flow reduction function, in this case, after 6 hours of night-time ignition, energy savings of 30% are achieved.
They can be mounted on poles up to 8 meters high so they are the ideal solution for lighting residential and public streets, parks, pedestrian and bicycle lanes, squares and municipal and private parking lots.
The photovoltaic streetlight
The photovoltaic street lamps allow to illuminate effectively, and without having to bear additional costs, the rural and peripheral areas or however not reached by the electricity network.
Solar energy, captured during the day by solar panels, is collected in the batteries to be delivered throughout the night, safely and economically.
The photovoltaic street lamps, in fact, operating off-grid, being self-sufficient and independent, continue to illuminate even in the event of a blackout and are protected from damage caused by the very frequent changes in voltage in the peripheral or country areas where the network and the facilities are usually obsolete.
Finally, we remind you that every kWh produced from a photovoltaic source avoids the emission into the atmosphere of 0.3 - 0.5 kg of CO2.
LED Photovoltaic Lamps
They are composed of monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules mounted on a stainless steel pole-top structure. At the top of the pole, or at the base, are the sealed lead-acid or gel batteries.
